Stephen J. Galvin
Vice President, Operations

Stephen J. Galvin joined ACS Unclaimed Property Clearinghouse in 1996 and has been a Vice President since January 2002.  Currently, Stephen is responsible for the supervision of the Processing and Information Services departments which include the management of customer’s records in order to assure the data is processed within the time limits established by management.  He also is responsible for the supervision of the Clearinghouse’s controller which includes the timely preparation of the division’s financial reports as well as internal reporting of income, expenses and analysis of budget variations.  From 1996 to 1999 he was responsible for the administration and supervision of national unclaimed property compliance examinations of major corporations and the preparation and review of audit findings.  Previously, Stephen was a manager with the CPA firm Andreoli, Johanson & Wood in California and later in the Boston Office.  He was also responsible for the training of unclaimed property auditors in the states of Virginia, Texas and West Virginia.

Stephen received his CPA certification in 1983 and is presently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.  In addition, Stephen also holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Bentley College in Waltham Massachusetts in June of 1978.
