Edward J. Mooney

Service Officer Edward Mooney joined the ACS Unclaimed Property Clearinghouse in
1998. Ed serves as a liaison for the Clearinghouse with
both states and corporations. Ed's home office is in
New Jersey.
Ed is a recognized expert in the unclaimed property field, with more
than 28 years of both unclaimed property auditing and
administrative experience with the State of New Jersey.
He served as supervisor of New Jersey’s Unclaimed Property
and Debt Service area where he was directly responsible
for four operating units including: Unclaimed Property
Management, Auditing, Debt Service, and Intestate Estates.
During Ed’s tenure with New Jersey, he was instrumental in working
with the Attorney General’s office and state legislature
in revising the state’s unclaimed property statutes,
as well as training and directing an audit staff of
12. Ed supervised over 500 unclaimed property audits,
covering virtually every property type, of holders representing
nearly every industry, including insurance, financial
services, and retailers.

attended St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia graduating
with a degree in Management.
