Michelle Colbert
Senior Vice President, Client Service, Marketing and Business Development

Michelle Colbert is Senior Vice President of Client Service, Marketing and Business Development. Michelle has nearly 20 years of experience in unclaimed property administration. She currently leads the Clearinghouse’s efforts to develop and launch the next generation of original solutions to address the compliance, collection, and administration challenges of state unclaimed property programs. Additionally, Michelle directs the Marketing team and is responsible for development and research of new business opportunities.

Previously, Michelle served as head of the Clearinghouse’s State Services Unit, which includes securities custody, claims processing and call center, and holder report uploading. This section of the Clearinghouse helps states manage and administer their unclaimed securities portfolios, handle all aspects of claims initiation and payment, and facilitate the report upload functions of holder data in states’ unclaimed property management systems such as UPS2000. Throughout this time, Michelle played a key role in the development and growth of the State Services Unit. She streamlined and improved the unit’s performance, and was responsible for the expansion of services offered and the number of the Clearinghouse’s custody states.

Michelle holds a masters degree in business management from Simmons College Graduate School of Management, Boston.
