Juan Alvarez
Vice President, State
Services
Juan Alvarez joined ACS as Vice President of the State
Services Unit in May of 2003. He is responsible for
the day to day management of the State Services Unit
of The ACS Unclaimed Property Clearinghouse, which provides
back-office support to states unclaimed property programs
including securities custody, claims processing and
client reporting.
Juan
has 27 years of Global Banking and Domestic Custody
experience having worked at State Street Bank and Trust
Company, The Boston Stock Exchange, Boston Safe Deposit
and Trust, BankBoston and Investors Bank and Trust.
Juan spent 12 years at BankBoston as Vice President
of Operations and later as Vice President of Global
Client Management dealing with international custody
operations in countries such as; France, Spain, Luxembourg,
United Kingdom, Argentina, Chile and Brazil. He assisted
in setting up a domestic custody office for BankBoston
Bahamas. Most recently he spent the past four years
at Investors Bank and Trust’s Institutional Custody
Area as a Senior Project Director in charge of all bank
custody procedures, compliance, client conversions and
new employee training.
Juan
attended Boston State College and was an active member
of Mass Bankers Association for 12 years in which he
served as chairperson for one year. Juan was a member
of the Securities Operations of New England for 15 years,
and a Member of DTC users group for eight years.
